What RCS Students Are Learning This Week

Various RCS students and staff participate in Roxboro’s February Flower Fling, a community planting project sponsored by City of Roxboro and Lowes of Roxboro with special thanks to NC Cooperative Extension.


Biology students in Mrs. Bailey’s and Ms. McCormick’s classes learn about natural selection and species radiation and enjoy a beautiful February day to participate in a lab to further understand this topic.


Mrs. Clayton’s 6th grade Math students practice solving equations through a game of Clue.


Students in Mrs. Bowen’s English class participate in a debate to build their skills in argumentation as well as practice vocabulary through a variety of station activities.


7th grade Math students in Mrs. Lewis’s class practice what they have learned about angles.


Mr. Ess’s Science students participate in a lab to learn more about minerals.


Students in Mrs. Denny’s 8th grade Math class work together to practice graphing.


Social Studies students in Mrs. Carter’s 6th grade class learn more about ancient Chinese philosophies through a carousel activity.


Mrs. Griffin’s 7th grade English students learn more about various poetic structures.


Math 3 students in Mrs. Carter’s class learn about adding and subtracting rational numbers.
