What RCS Students Are Learning This Week

RCS 8th graders participated in the Reality Store where they learned about financial literacy and budgeting based on a given career and family situation. Many community member volunteers and the Roxboro Chamber of Commerce provided much support for this worthwhile learning experience.


Spanish 3 students in Profe Storrs’s class practice their conversational skills through an unrehearsed  conversation circle.


Mrs. Lewis’s 7th grade Math students learn about determining probabilities. 


Biology students in Mrs. McCormick’s class work on a project where they create a virtual world to show what they have learned about infectious diseases. 


Students in Ms. Litchfield’s Academic Success class give a book talk on a recently read novel.


Mr. Abline’s World History students learn more about the industrial revolution through a simulation activity.


7th grade English students in Mrs. Griffin’s class read and discuss the novel Prisoner B-3087


Guidance Counselor Mrs. Ragland assists high school students with the course registration process.


Mrs. Bowen’s English students work on an argumentative essay.


Students in Mr. Butner’s Social Studies class learn about industrialization in NC.


RCS Bulldogs participated in our 4th Bulldogs Care Day for this school year. Community service projects students completed included working with local elementary school students, yard work and clean-up at various locations throughout the community and at RCS, working with local organizations such as the Person County Public Library and Cry Freedom Missions, building and hanging birdhouses, planting flowers around the school grounds, creating cards for residents in assisted living facilities, and writing to local Congressmen.
