What are RCS Students learning this week

Students in Mrs. DeVenuti's STEM class have embarked on an exciting journey of learning and growth.

DeVenuti said the following about this fun project!

"Until now, they had built their first robot, the "basebot," a simple, handheld-controlled introduction to robotics. But this past week has been a whirlwind of creativity. Students were tasked with creating imaginative robots capable of playing freeze tag. They had to master both design and coding, adding a "freeze button" to their robots.

What's truly remarkable is how this process has taught our students to succeed through the lessons of failure. Facing design flaws, coding challenges, and unexpected hurdles, they persevered, innovated, and became resilient problem solvers.

The results are nothing short of amazing, showcasing the creativity and technical skills of these budding engineers. Stay tuned for more of their creations!"

Mrs. Bailey's teacher cadet class taught a lesson they had planned to the 6th and 7th grade academic success 6th periods. The lesson was all about self esteem and self-concept.

Mrs. Bailey's Biology classes  performed skits related to cells!

Ms. Phillips' Communications I class has been learning about photography. While out practicing taking photos, they caught Mr. Bryant driving the lift back into the building.
