What are RCS Students learned

Take a look at what some of our students did and learned in class in November!

Mrs. Bailey’s biology classes diagrammed the cell cycle in the parking lot.

Those classes also modeled meiosis in class ones day!

Bailey’s AP Biology class had a  “tea party” where students tasted substances to determine their taste signaling pathways. They “swished” a tea known to block a sugar pathway which is why they are making faces!

That same class also modeled signal transduction pathways outside.

Teacher Cadets went to Wal-Mart to study toys as part of their child development unit.

Teacher Cadets also wrote and illustrated books with a positive self-concept theme. Then they went to South Elementary to read these books to classes.

Mrs. Bowen took a few of her 10th grade English students the UNC to watch a performance of Much Ado About Nothing.

Mr. Gillis’ gaming class enjoyed a “choice day” after they finished a section on board games.

Some of these video games are ones that our esports team play in competition, so it was good practice for team members as well!
