students testing

Calling all RCS students. Many parents and students have asked for  ACT help, so we are launching this incredible opportunity at Roxboro Community School to help students.

Join us for this eight hour exploration of the ACT that will explain the basic test structure of all five subject tests. We will share our best tips and strategies to slay this monster.

This workshop will have three parts:

1) We will start the morning by administering a full length ACT released test, so our students can experience what it is like to take a real ACT. Unfortunately, the pre-ACT is too short and too easy to properly prepare our students for this marathon like test. We will then break for a working lunch** where students and instructors will score their test. Scoring the test will allow students to evaluate where they are and where they want to be.

2) We will then spend the afternoon discussing the basic test structure of all five subject tests. We will share some of our best tips and strategies. We will show students (based on their earlier scores which strategies are most likely to give them the largest point increase). It is all about working smarter NOT harder.

3) We will end the workshop by creating individualized study plans that the student can use for the month of February to prepare for their school administered ACT that should fall during the last week of February (February 25 is the rumored NC ACT testing date).

This is proven test prep at less than $10 an hour.

When: February 1, 2020

Where: Roxboro Community School

Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fine print: This class is open to Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors from Durham, Chatham, Person, and other surrounding counties. The workshop will be rescheduled for a later date if a weather closure is called by RCS's Administration.

Once students have registered and paid for the course, we will contact them via email with more information about the details and how to prepare for our boot camp.

**Students will need to bring a bagged lunch, as we will not break during the day for them to leave campus.
