Jill Clayton, Roxboro Community School (RCS) biotechnology teacher was recently awarded a Keeping Agriculture Alive at Roxboro Community School grant from Carolina Farm Credit and is going to give the school's greenhouse a makeover. The greenhouse will be used by members of the Youth Garden Club, Bulldog Blooms, which will launch next semester. Students in the biotech health science courses will be able to use it to tie nutrition and healthy eating into the health science curriculum.
