What RCS Students Are Learning This Week

Students in Ms. DeVenuti’s 8th grade Science class perform a microbe lab.


Mrs. Carter’s Social Studies students learn more about Alexander the Great through a documentary.


ELA students in Mrs. Jones’s 6th grade English class test their knowledge of main ideas.


Students in Mrs. Cobb’s Social Studies class discuss Enlightenment period ideas, including free speech.


6th grade students in Mrs. Clayton’s Math class learn how to combine like terms with variables.


Mr. Abline’s World History students learn more about the Cold War.


Math 1 students in Mrs. Denny’s class learn about quadratic functions and parabolas.


Students participated in our final Bulldogs Care project for this school year on Wednesday. Projects included

  • 6th graders and High School students cleaned Long Memorial Methodist Church and Preschool

  • 7th graders visited Spanish Immersion classes at Woodland and South Elementary Schools. Students read with little buddies and introduced them to one of their favorite instructional games, “Blooket”, allowing first graders an opportunity to show off their Spanish vocab acquisition. 

  • Various grade levels wrote letters to teachers, military personnel, and rest home residents.

  • Art students made posters for the upcoming Person County Library Book Sale and cleaned the main RCS sign.

  • High School students made goodie bags for local elementary teachers.

  • 7th graders made STEM kits for Bethel Hill Charter Elementary School.

  • High School students made bird feeders to be placed around the school.

  • Various grade levels cleaned areas around the school and surrounding community.
