Maci Clark, a member of the Roxboro Community School (RCS) Class of 2022, has been named an Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholar.

At the direction of the late Aubrey Lee Brooks, a prominent Greensboro lawyer, this scholarship is awarded to students on the basis of “academic standing, character, leadership, financial need, and the will of the recipient to help himself or herself prepare for a career as a useful and informed citizen.”

The  Brooks Scholarship begins with the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year and is renewable for three additional academic years.  The scholarship is valued at $12,000 for the 2022-2023 academic year.  Additionally, the Brooks Foundation provides a one-time $2,500 computer/technology allowance for use in the 2022-2023 year.

As a Brooks Scholar, students may apply for additional educational opportunities that are typically taken following the first, sophomore and junior years.  These additional awards provide financial support for summer school attendance, study abroad programs, internships and research fellowships.
