RCS held a Scholastics Book Fair October 4-7. Students and staff enjoyed browsing the products and purchasing books and various school supplies. The book fair was a success and through the proceeds earned, RCS will be able to purchase additional books for the library.


Mrs. Shattuck’s 7th grade English students worked in various stations to practice the vocabulary they have learned so far.


Students in Mr. Bell’s Introduction to Gaming Design class learn about probability through rewriting the rules of a game based on chance and testing out their new games.


Civics students in Mrs. Harris’s class learn more about local and county governments through performing skits and discussing governmental departments related to situations in the skits.


Mrs. Lewis’s 7th grade Math students practice their knowledge of proportionality and play Hungry, Hungry Hippos.


Students in PE burn energy through a game of Ultimate Ball.


English students in Mrs. Morrow’s 8th grade class analyze characters through a social media slam.


6th grade Math students in Mrs. Clayton’s class practice long division.


Mrs. Conner’s Earth and Environmental Science students learn more about Earth’s layers.


8th graders in Mr. Butner’s Social Studies class continue their studies of North Carolinian Native American tribes.
