Before you head into spring break, make sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming Spring Band Concerts! The 7th and 8th grade band will perform on April 29 at 6:30 p.m. and the high school and jazz bands will perform on May 1 at 6 p.m. in the MPR! Admission to the MS concert is free, but admission is $5 for the HS concert to help raise money for End Polio Now!
RCS HOSA will be at the greenhouse tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday, April 16) from 2 - 4 p.m. for anyone interested in purchasing plants.
All plants are sold in packs of 4 for $3 or you can mix & match a full tray of 48 plants for $30

April is Autism Awareness Month! A few members of our RCS family wore t-shirts today to help raise awareness and celebrate all the amazing people with Autism!

Due to continued water line issues recently reported from the City of Roxboro just this morning, we will operate on a two-hour delay today. With the late notice, we know many may not receive this message in time. The building will be open and staff will be there to receive those students, but know that there is no water in the building. This may also cause us to further modify the operation of school today. We will continue to keep you updated. We apologize for the inconvenience. Because of this, May 21st, which was an early release day, will now be a full school day. Please make note of this and be sure to plan accordingly.

The Person County Schools' "Hiring Event" is being held in the Person High School Media Center on the morning of Thursday, May 2. This opportunity is for anyone 16+ and is open to the public.

Congratulations to our High School Band for earning the highest rating of Superior at the Carowinds Music Festival on Saturday, March 29th! They have earned the highest rating of Superior three times since 2022. Way to go, Bulldogs!!!
RCS HOSA collected $1,100 during the month of March for the MDA Shamrock Campaign. All money raised will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and used for research, patient services, and MDA Summer Camp for children ages 8-17. Thank you to everyone in the RCS community that donated towards this worthy cause.
*This is the most that we have raised. Our goal this year was $1,000. Last year we raised $1,031.
On May 10th, RCS will be hosting its annual Bulldog 5K Walk and Run! The race will start at 9:00 a.m. in the RCS parking lot. In addition, we will have refreshments, music, a 50/50 raffle drawing, and a community yard sale.
Early registration for the race is $25 and will include a newly designed RCS Athletic t-shirt.

Join us tomorrow, Friday, March 28 for student vs staff volleyball games in the RCS gym! The first game will begin at 3:15 p.m. and there will be a middle school game and a high school game.
