Senior ads are on sale now! The deadline to order is February 28 and the deadline to have your ad finished is March 14. We are doing things a little differently this year. You will now be ordering your ads through Strawbridge directly. From there you can choose to create the ad yourself using their platform or you can create an ad outside of their platform and upload it. Either way, we will not be offering to create ads for you. The Thomas Person Chapter of the Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) honored senior Joshua Murray with the Good Citizen Award for 2025! This award is given to a student who demonstrates qualities of good citizenship, such as dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism, and is voted on by RCS staff and students. Joshua also won second place in the essay competition with an essay about how service can foster a strong sense of community and strengthen our American Identity. On Monday, the NC Varsity Esports + STEM League (VESL) came in for a "Lunchroom Takeover" in our lobby! The team brought in multiple gaming systems for students to play video games on. Students got the chance to play games and win prizes during their lunch periods. VESL is an awesome organization that uses esports as a vehicle to teach STEM and we are grateful they chose to come to RCS to provide this unique experience for our students!

Senior Abigail Smith participated in the Central District Honor Band Clinic at the North Carolina School of Science and Math on January 31 and February 1. Abigail auditioned on January 18 and ranked #10 out of 38 clarinets from the Durham, Burlington, Greensboro, Asheboro, and Pittsboro areas. The Central District High School Honor Bands have students from 36 different high schools from around the district. Abigail is the only student from Person County. She performed a concert with this honor band on Saturday, February 1st. Congratulations Abigail! #BulldogProud
