High school women’s basketball workouts will begin next week, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 4-6 pm at Olive Hill Gym. RCS Basketball Hoodies are BACK!!! To order one of these comfy, good-looking hoodies in grey, red, white or black, please bring payment and size information to Coach Bettendorf or email him at bettendorfjl@roxborocs.org. The hoodies are $50 and come in both youth and adult sizes. Payment can be cash or check made out to "RCS." The order will be placed on the Monday after Bulldog Day (September 12).

Roxboro Community School is pleased to announce the establishment of a Sports Hall of Fame (HOF). Inductees may be selected from four categories: (1) Athletes; (2) Teams; (3) Coaches/Administrators, and (4) Others who have made significant contributions to Roxboro Community School Athletics.
The purpose of the Sports Hall of Fame is to bring proper recognition to noteworthy athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and contributors for their accomplishments and contributions to the RCS athletic program.
RCS will conduct an induction ceremony each year to present awards to those duly elected to the Sports Hall of Fame.
To honor each inductee, RCS will present a plaque to the elected member(s) as well as a permanent plaque to be displayed in a prominent location at RCS.

There will be a short interest meeting this Thursday, August 18, at 3:05 pm for anyone interested in trying out for middle school boys' or girls' basketball. The meeting will be in the athletic lounge.

Cross country practice is today, Tuesday, August 16 and Thursday, August 18 at Mayo Park at 4 pm and Wednesday, August 17 at Hucks Sansbury at 3:45.

The Bulldogs take on crosstown rival Person High in volleyball Wednesday, August 17, in The Dog House. JV game at 5pm. Varsity at 6:30 pm. The first 50 RCS students to come through the gym doors will get free tickets thanks to the generosity of A&B Transport.
