Our high school students were in the building tonight for our open house. There were of lots of reunions, introductions, and class schedule tours. We are excited to see all our high school students fill the halls again in just a few days.
In preparation for tomorrow’s open house and our first home volleyball game, we ask those coming for the Middle School Open House to park in the Woody Parking Lot, which is the student lot behind the school. If you are coming from Uptown down Depot street, you will turn right onto Foushee street and then left into the parking lot. You will then enter the building through that back entrance.

RCS faculty and staff gathered together today for this year's opening meeting to get prepared for the start of school next week. It was a morning full of information, conversations and preparation! We are so excited to start this new school year off next week! It's going to be a great one!
We also honored our two "OG" teachers, Christy King and Christa Jones. They are the only remaining teachers who were here the year RCS opened! They received an "OG" chain necklace and then shared some fun memories from the first couple years the school was open. We are so grateful for them and all they have done for RCS over the years!
A special thank you to DATCO for providing lunch for our staff today as well.

Today we welcomed our incoming 6th grade students at our open houses where they received instruction and information from staff, as well as a tour around the school. We are so excited to have this new class of Bulldogs here at RCS!

High School schedules in PowerSchool have been adjusted as best as possible and are now ready for families to view. Please remember that some schedules may continue to change as things are finalized, and class numbers are balanced. Some students may notice missing classes or other scheduling conflicts that require a conversation with students or parents/guardians during the drop/add window to address. Given that it can be difficult to explain/remedy scheduling issues via email and phone calls, we ask that students and parents/guardians plan to attend drop/add on the assigned day for their grade level. If you are not available to participate in drop/add before school starts, you are welcome to bring the drop/add form to school and leave it at the front desk. Otherwise, students will have the first ten school days to adjust their schedules.
Drop/Add will run from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on the following days:
12th grade: Monday, August 7
11th grade: Tuesday, August 8
10th/9th grade: Wednesday, August 9
** 11th and 12th graders enrolled in PCC classes should check their email for the mandatory PCC student orientation information.
