Miss Debbies Specialty Apples are for sale to help raise money for the band and art department at RCS. These apples are sold at the North Carolina State Fair each year. Reach out to a 7th-12th grade band student or a high school art or art club student to purchase apples. All of the apples are $10 each and orders and money will be collected through Thursday, January 5. We make 40% profit on this fundraiser, which will go toward the purchase of supplies and/or instruments. Apples will be delivered around January 18. Thanks for your support!

RCS will participate in YLA (Youth Legislative Assembly) again this year. An email was sent to high school students and parents that contains a link to sign up. Contact Mr. Bryant with questions.
Youth Legislative Assembly (YLA) is a mock legislative session where high school students voice their opinions and vote on issues concerning local, state and national government. The conference allows high school students an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the workings of local, state, and national government.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test will be given on-campus at RCS on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 8 am. The test is optional, and open to interested 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students. The test was designed by the military to determine which area(s) of service might be best for individuals given personal strengths and interests.

RCS Interact Club Members volunteered with Wreaths Across America, sponsored by the Roxboro Rotary Club. Wreaths Across America places wreaths on the graves of US military personnel buried at Arlington National Cemetery and all across the country. We are truly #bulldogproud.

The EC Department will be selling hot cider and hot chocolate with marshmallows during lunch today, in the dining hall. Cider is $1.50 and hot chocolate is $2.
MathCounts Club will meet Wednesday, January 18, from 3 to 3:45 pm in room 125.

Main Street is going to be blocked between Depot and Court streets while work is done on an unsafe building. Plan to avoid the area when coming to or leaving RCS for the next few days.

The RCS middle school MathCounts club had a wonderful meeting this month using a dice breaker operations challenge. #bulldogroud

RCS Class of 2023, you know that forgotten sort-of hallway at RCS that's just gloomy? You can brighten it up by being the first class to leave its paw prints on the building! Please buy a Paw Print to leave your name on the bricks for years to come, and to beautify our school. All money goes directly to the Class of 2023 Activities Fund. Order forms are in Dr. Davis's room, and can be turned in to her or Mrs. Oliver. Orders are due December 12. Painting will begin in January.

Please come out and support the RCS PTSO at Jersey Mike's on December 8 or 9, from 4 to 8 pm. Grab dinner before heading to the RCS Holiday Coffee House on Thursday or enjoy a great sub on Friday - or both! Jersey Mike's will donate 15% of sales both days.
