
The audition sign-up deadline for the 2021 RCS Spring Theatre Production of The Show Must Go On....Line! has been extended to Wednesday, February 17, at 3 p.m. Sign up at https://sites.google.com/roxborocommunityschool.org/the-show-must-go-on/home. Auditions and performances will be both in person AND virtual, so everyone has the opportunity to participate.

February 17 and 18 will be New Student Application Days at Roxboro Community School for families wishing to enroll students for the 2021-2022 school year. Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days.
Procedures for submitting prospective student applications:
Applications will be submitted in a drive-through process. No one should exit their vehicle.
A tent will be set up to the right of the main entrance. Drive up to this tent.
A RCS staff member will come to your car to review your application and check that it is complete.
You will sign a receipt acknowledging you have submitted your application. You will be given a copy of this receipt, which will include your lottery number.
A virtual public lottery will be held on March 4. Additional details about the lottery will be shared soon.

Hello Parents and Students,
RCS would like to extend the opportunity for our families to reassess their choice for hybrid or remote-only instruction. Families who would like to switch from remote-only to hybrid instruction or vice versa for the next six weeks must contact RCS (HS - Darkarai Bryant, MS - Donna Ingram) by Friday, February 19. If you do not wish to change your learning plan, no action is required.

Monday, February 15 is a Required Workday for staff. There will be no school for students on Monday.


Tonight's (February 12) men's and women's basketball games vs. East Wake Academy are cancelled due to inclement weather.

In the continued effort to maintain the safety of students and staff, and due to the possibility of icy roads tomorrow, RCS staff will work from home and conduct remote instruction in all classes tomorrow, Friday, February 12. The building will be closed. All students are expected to log in to their classes.


The RCS PTSO Valentine's Day Bulldog Gear Sale has been postponed until Thursday, February 18, from 2:45 to 4 p.m. in the Woody Parking lot. Grab some gear for your Valentine! Also, pick up special order pullovers. Bulldog Cards will be available also -- at a sale price of just $5 each! They are valid through December 31, 2021.

Congratulations to RCS Senior Emily Taylor for placing second in the Thomas Person Chapter National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest. She received a certificate, a pin and a $50 check from DAR member Bonnie Meeler today. Ms. Meeler said it is "always a pleasure to award outstanding students."
