Roxboro Community School (RCS) Class of 2017 member Will Montgomery will complete his studies at Piedmont Community College (PCC) this fall, and will also begin working full-time as a network engineer at A3 Communications’ Apex office on Sept. 16.
Montgomery, who was on the RCS tech team throughout high school, served as the school's interim technology director during his junior year. He supervised and implemented the expansion of the school network during the final phase of renovation in the building, which included the gym and multipurpose room, as well as the North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) lab.
After earning his associate in science degree from PCC, Montgomery plans to complete his bachelor’s degree online while working. He said he is excited about the opportunity at A3 Communications and looks forward to traveling to various customer sites to share his expertise.
Roxboro Community High School Principal Darkarai Bryant said, “We always knew Will was destined for greatness, and that he would become a network engineer. I am extremely proud of him.”
