RCS Again Scores High in US News School Rankings In this year's US News and World Report's ranking of public schools, Roxboro Community School (RCS) again did well. RCS is ranked 66 out of the 653 public high schools in North Carolina. See the full report at https://bit.ly/2rWUh2W.

RCS Students Help Set Up for Relay for Life A group of RCS students worked this morning on setting up for this weekend's Person County Relay for Life, which raises money for the American Cancer Society. And, they had a little fun while working.

Interact Meeting The next meeting for the Interact Club will be Monday, September 23. Two options for attending will be provided. Members are only required to attend one of the options. The Interact Club will meet during lunch and after school, at 3:05 p.m. Both meetings will be held in Room #401. Adela Stevens and Bryce Yarborough will share their Rotary Foreign Exchange experiences and new volunteer service opportunities will be discussed. Members, please bring your $5 dues.

Tonight's HS Varsity Volleyball Match against the Carolina Mustangs will be played at RCS at 6 pm and is FREE Admission. Please come out and support your Lady Bulldogs!

HS Men's Soccer Defeats Triangle Math & Science High School Soccer won today, 2-1, against Triangle Math and Science. Let's all show up tomorrow, to cheer them on as they face Person High at 6 p.m. on the RCS field. # bulldogproud

Bulldogs Care Day Fun For the first Bulldogs Care Day of 2019-2020, Mrs. Stultz's class painted inspirational sayings onto rocks and posters. #bulldogscare #bulldogproud

It’s Bulldogs Care Day and Mrs. Roberts’ team stopped off for a Hopper’s Poppers treat after visiting Generations Adult Day program and playing Bingo with the clients there. According to Mrs. Roberts, everyone had fun.

PSAT October 16 The PSAT will be given at RCS on October 16. All 11th graders are automatically registered. There are a limited number of extra tests available for other students. If interested, please see Jodi DeVillier in room 114 or Carrie Hawkins in room 222B to register and pay the $17 fee. Deadline to register is September 30. Students may also contact Mrs. DeVillier at devillierjh@roxborocs.org for questions or more information. The PSAT is great practice for the SAT and other standardized tests required for college admissions!

Bulldog Day! Bulldog Day benefits RCS athletics. This is the annual event where teams, coaches, and Bulldog supporters come out for food, fun, games, prizes and shopping for RCS apparel. The fun will continue for another 45 minutes if y’all want to join us.
