
Picture Day for grades 6-11 is tomorrow, September 12. Picture day is NOT a jeans day. Jeans and t-shirts are NOT ALLOWED. High School students MUST BE IN DRESS CODE. No t-shirts or hoodies/sweatshirts with slogans. Middle School Students are allowed to wear blouses if the blouses are not sheer or see-through. If the blouse is sheer or see through, girls must wear a shirt underneath. Spaghetti straps and open-backed dresses are not allowed (unless they are covered). No high heels. Leggings are allowed only if they are worn underneath a dress or skirt. Skirts and dresses must be no shorter than 2 inches from the top of the knee cap. Middle School boys are allowed to wear button up shirts.

RCS Parents and Other Volunteers,
For every $10 donated in money or goods, you receive 1 hour of volunteer time.
When you volunteer inside the building, you sign in at the front desk, receive a volunteer tag, and the Help Desk Counter automatically records your time. If you volunteer outside of the building, you will need to come in and record your time on the Volunteer Log at the front desk.

PTSO will have a tent at Bulldog Day this Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to noon There will be tons of gear for sale, including a new limited edition t-shirt. The PTSO is now accepting credit cards along with cash and checks!

RCS dance students had a treat today. Alexis Harris, head dance coach at Averett University, spoke to Teresa Coleman’s high school dance class about what it's like to dance in college, and answered students’ questions.

MLM Meetings, Shuttle
RCS middle and high school students are invited to MLM meetings on Tuesday mornings, in the dining hall. Middle school students can ride the shuttle to the Warehouse on Tuesday afternoons. High school students can catch the shuttle on Tuesdays for the Person High club. All students should board the shuttle in the front parking lot at RCS.

High School Boys' and Girls' Basketball Workouts for Wednesday, September 11 are CANCELLED. Parks and Rec needs the gym.

Jr. Beta will have a brief meeting on Wednesday, September 11, at 3 p.m., in the second dining hall.

MLM will meet Tuesday, September 10, 7:30 a.m. in the dining hall. Middle school students are invited to attend. To register, visit http://mylifematters.club/forms/.

MLM (My Life Matters) has an after school club at Person High School and invites RCS high school students to participate. Shuttle service is provided from RCS on Tuesdays. MLM leaders said they were excited about getting to know more high school students. All students who ride the shuttle will have to have a permission form completed.

The Interact Club will hold its next meeting on Monday, September 9,at 3:05 p.m. in Room 401. Representatives from the Roxboro Rotary Club will be here to share information about programs and services that Rotary International offers for high school students. Please remember that $5 membership dues need to be paid by October 14.

There will be an RCS in Spain Parent/Student meeting on Thursday, September 12, at 5:30 p.m., in the Multipurpose Room for students interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity!

High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot
Molly Tatum (Class of 2013) and Ben Townsend (Class of 2014) dated while they were students at RCS. On August 31, the high school sweethearts were married in Durham. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Townsend!


For students who did not audition for Frozen Jr. or who were asked to come back today, (Thursday) please note that the second auditions and the callbacks are tomorrow, Friday, September 6, in the multipurpose room, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Please pre-order for the September Menu. You can order by the week or month, as long as you do so by Thursday for the upcoming week. Instructions are under "Bulldog Cafe" and the menu is under "Lunch Menu."
