Students who will be 15 by April 15, 2020 are invited to attend drivers' ed book work classes October 14-24, 3 to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, in the dining hall. Cost is $65. Pencil and pape required FIRST day. Sign up with Mrs Graham at the front desk, or call RCS.
The first SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) meeting will be on Monday, September 16, at 3 p.m. in Mrs. Roberts' room, 106.BOTH middle school and high school students are invited to attend. We will discuss plans for the year and our fall conference.
FFA will have the first meeting of the school year tomorrow, September 4, from 3 to 3:30, in Mrs. Clayton's room, 402. We will discuss officers, dues, t-shirts, and activities for the 2019-2020 school year. FFA is open to High School and Middle School students.

PTSO Fall Fundraiser packets were distributed today. They should be returned by Monday, September 16.
Mrs. Christa Jones, RCS sixth grade language arts teacher, got a nice surprise today, when the Person County Education Foundation dropped by to give her a Teacher Supply Basket. Jones was nominated for the gift during last weekend’s Personality Festival.
Please pre-order for the September Menu by August 29, 2019. You can order by the week or month, as long as it is by Thursday for the upcoming week. Instructions are under Bulldog Cafe and the menu is under Lunch Menu.

The RCS Basketball Program is selling Nike Basketball Hoodies. If interested, please stop by and see Coach Bettendorf in the gym or email him at bettendorfjl@roxborocs.org. The hoodies are $40 and are available in red, black, or grey. Deadline to order is Friday, September 13.
Enrollment for the 2019-2020 academic year is complete. Open enrollment for 2020-2021 begins in January 2020. Information and an enrollment application will be available on the RCS web site prior to the beginning of the enrollment period.
The Fall Musical: Frozen Jr Auditions are Wednesday & Thursday September 4 & 5. 3:30 - 5:30 in the MPR. Grades 6 - 12 invited!
Senior Parent Meeting
There will be a Senior Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 29, at 6:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room to discuss ideas and make plans for senior activities. Senior students are also welcome to attend.
Don’t forget the PTSO will serve another fundraiser lunch tomorrow, Thursday, August 29! Get a Chick fil A sandwich, chips and drink for $5 cash or check. Students can not use lunch accounts to pay for fundraiser lunches. Lunch is first come, first served. .

Baseball Update: All current sixth graders who are interested in playing middle school baseball in the spring are welcome to attend preseason workouts. Workouts are every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at Optimist Park, 4:30-6 p.m. All participants must have an updated physical.
Baseball workouts begin today and will continue every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Optimist Park from 4:30 to 6. Workouts are open to all 7th - 12th graders interested in playing middle school or high school baseball this spring.
