Pi Day at RCS middle school was a success! Parent Hunt Fitzgerald captured pictures of the entire middle school student body creating a Pi Chain, with each student connecting 10 digits -- so the total was around 3,000 digits of Pi! #bulldogproud



The middle school dance will be Friday, March 24, from 3 to 5 pm. Tickets are $5 each and pizza will be sold for $2 per slice. Drinks will be available for $1 each. Tickets will be sold Monday, March 20 - Wednesday, March 22 during lunch.


Today's high school women's soccer game vs River Mill is rescheduled to Monday, April 3 at RCS. Game time will be 6 pm.


RCS seeks knowledgeable, passionate, and experienced coaches to help build our Bulldog athletic programs. Successful candidates must enjoy working with student-athletes, possess the ability to take initiative, and demonstrate a strong work ethic while maintaining a positive attitude. Today's High School Journalism Club meeting has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, March 22, immediately after school in room 220.


There will not be a middle school lacrosse game today. The team will practice immediately after school, at RCS.


Friday, March 17 will be a Jeans Day. The $2 donation will support the 12th Grade Field Trip.


Anna Helms, a sonographer at Durham Diagnostic Imaging, spoke to Biotech Health Science students today. Students learned about educational requirements, career opportunities and viewed various ultrasound images.


Roxboro Community School's Board of Directors will have a vacancy beginning in July. The Board of Directors sets policy for the school and works with the Managing Executive Director, who is responsible for day-to-day operations. Roxboro Community School is extremely pleased to announce that, beginning July 1, 2023, Mr. Darkarai Bryant will succeed the retiring Mr. Dave Ebert as Managing Executive Director. The RCS Board of Directors voted last night to approve the transition. Mr. Bryant has led the RCS high school since 2014, after serving as a teacher, assistant principal and principal in Person County Schools.


Eighth graders enjoyed having a virtual guest speaker this morning who talked about investing and careers in wealth management. Thank you, Virginia Clay from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
