Middle school girls’ tennis open hit, scheduled for 7 tonight, July 25, has been canceled due to weather.

PCC orientation for RCS Seniors will be on Wednesday, August 3, 10 - 11 am, in the RCS multipurpose room. Orientation for Juniors will be on Thursday, August 4, 10 - 11 am, in the RCS multipurpose room. Contact Ms. Oakley at kailey.oakley@piedmontcc.edu with questions or concerns.

Cross Country workouts will be held today, Monday July 25 and Thursday, July 28, at 5 pm at Mayo Lake Park. Meet at the office. Participants must have a current physical. Contact Coach Tommy Winstead at tommywinstead@yahoo.com with questions.

The Roxboro Community School Board of Directors held its annual planning retreat today. New officers are Walt Rogers, chair; Jona Fitzgerald, vice chair; Jenny Eggleston, treasurer and Jennifer Brown, secretary. Eggleston committed to another three-year term on the Board, as did Laura Atkins and Mindy Henderson. Person County Clerk of Court Deborah Barker administered the oath of office to the members and officers.

High school students interested in playing women's tennis this fall should contact Coach Bell at belljd@roxborocs.org. There will be voluntary workouts the week of July 25 to get back in the swing of things. Tryouts/official practice starts August 1.
