Chick-fil-A sandwiches will be available for purchase for $6 from Monday, October 31 through Friday, November 4. Please see Mrs. Lewis or Mrs. Shattuck to preorder your sandwich. Money is due when orders are made.
Biotech Health Science II students are learning about the skeletal system. Tammy Foster, a radiologic technologist with the Duke Ambulatory Surgical Center, spoke with students today about bone fractures and the methods for correction.

Our very own Profe Keegan Storrs presented at the AIM (Acccelerate, Invigorate, Motivate) Conference in Raleigh today. He discussed the NC StoriED project, in which regional Teachers of the Year are creating a digital portfolio that will be used to collect and showcase creative, solution-oriented stories from classrooms across North Carolina. Profe is the 2022-2023 NC Charter Schools Teacher of the Year. #bulldogproud

The RCS middle school Mathcounts club had its first meeting this week. After a quick get to know you, members played "Lightning War," an operational card game using positive and negative numbers. Please join us for our next Mathcounts club meeting on Wednesday, November 16, from 3 to 3:45 pm!

Community service is an important part of life at Roxboro Community School.
Some of Ms. Cobb's 7th Graders have chosen to serve our military, past and present, and first responders by participating in a Halloween Candy Giveback Program through Operation Gratitude.
Operation Gratitude is one of the largest and most impactful nonprofits in the country for hands-on volunteerism in support of military, veterans, and first responders.
Please help us honor these heroes by donating any extra or leftover candy from Halloween. It could be some that you have left at your home or some you collected from your children because they had more than you wanted them to eat.
If you would like to buy candy to donate, that is OK too.
Please drop it off at the front desk and Mrs. Graham will get it to Ms. Cobb and her group.
Candy will be collected through November 8.
