RCS seeks a Middle School Principal beginning July 1, 2023. Candidates must have a North Carolina Teacher's License, a North Carolina Principal's License, a Master's Degree in School Administration from an accredited institution, and three to five years' experience. The Middle School Principal serves as the chief administrator of Roxboro Community Middle School and is expected to provide instructional leadership to school staff and to work cooperatively with all stakeholders in order to provide the educational development of each student as well as the professional growth of each staff member. RCS needs help this summer to paint, move furniture and perform other custodial tasks. Pay is $10 per hour. Applications are available at the front desk. Interested current sophomores, juniors and seniors are asked to complete and return applications to Mrs.Graham before April 6. Students must have their own transportation.

Friday, March 3 will be a Jeans Day. The $2 donation will support the RCS in Spain trip.

The 2023-2024 RCS Enrollment Period ends March 1. Our Lottery will be held online on March 2 at 4:30 pm. For Current Students: Parents/Guardians still have time to complete the quick online "Student Intent to Return" form to let us know whether your student(s) will be returning to RCS next year. Thank you to the Roxboro Rotary Club for hosting RCS's Interact Club Thursday, February 23 at their luncheon meeting. The Interact Club benefitted from taking part in a formal Rotary Club meeting, and in sharing Interact activities and future plans concerning the club. Our local Rotary has consistently reached out to RCS to offer support, and gave a gracious donation in support of Interact at the close of the meeting.

This year, RCS has partnered with a company called Lotterease to offer a new online application/enrollment process. The new online system allows us to extend our Open Enrollment deadline until right before our lottery. As such, we will now continue to accept applications for new students for the 2023-2024 school year through March 1. Our lottery is scheduled for March 2. VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER: If a sibling** of your current student will be coming to RCS next year, we MUST receive an application for them by no later than March 1. Their application will be weighted as a priority applicant, but as part of our new online enrollment process, they MUST be included in the lottery by the application deadline or they will be waitlisted. RCS HOSA is participating in the MDA Shamrock Campaign again this year. All donations received through this campaign will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to provide services, research, and summer camp to MDA families. If you are interested in making a donation and helping us build our shamrock wall, please see any HOSA member or Mrs. Jill Clayton in room 403. Thank you!
